How does it works And for what does it do? many people talk about it and it’s discoveries like if they actually know how they were made, why we can say; yeah that’s new!, but how many of them know HOW DOES IT WORK?!



Well if you, yes you! wanna know how this (the greatest construction made for cience) works, you only need to keep reading 

First we must know; what really is a particle accelerator?
well first there are atoms, and all were like: hmmm are those things are the most little things that exist? and, what if you make them crash, like in a crash test for dummies? would the atoms crash? 
some people said: nah they wont crash… 
And some years later a nuclear bomb exploded as result of particles crushing uranium atoms in a chain reaction that relases lot and lots of energy.
The atoms were able to be splitted, but then how do we split them “slow and easy”? 

Imagine a device that uses a electromagnetic fields to propel charged particles to high speeds and to contain them in well-defined beams. Then that charged particles that are moving close to the speed of light crash with another particles that are moved in their way (you could think whoa! wait, wait, wait….electromagnetic fields? beams? why that?, because the particles moves in a crazy way and that’s the only way that we can make the charged particles move the way we want them to). After the crash, it was needed to take “photographs” to see what was left, and those “photographs” are other things.

By crashing the particles we have that in physics or chemistry there are two types of subatomic particles: elementary particles, which are not made of other particles, and composite particles. 
The elementary particles of the Standard Model include:[2]
Six “flavors” of quarks: up, down, bottom, top, strange, and charm
Six types of leptons: electron, electron neutrino, muon, muon neutrino, tau, tau neutrino

Thirteen gauge bosons (force carriers): the graviton of gravity, the photon of electromagnetism, the three W and Z bosons of the weak force, and the eight gluons of the strong force. Too much for us to know, but this is what we wanna know, could we split those particles even more? what is dark matter? and many other interesting questions.
